I agree. Anytime things get switched around like this server move, problems like this are bound to come up. Instead of throwing a tantrum (Creating a website to proclaim that "A-Net is mean to me."... Give me a break.) over less than a day's worth of lag issues, how about having a little patience and give them time to sort out whatever bugs cropped up?

Post your screenies, tell them where in the world you are, and maybe, just maybe those evil people at Arena Net will take time out from their GW2 "we screwed our customers" marketing campaign/celebration and fix the problem.

@ OP: Boohoo. GW is going to die in the end and there's nothing you can do about it. It only makes sense from a business perspective to slowly discontinue a product that doesn't get any return. GW1 is making Anet lose money, that is until they can get the playerbase to migrate to GW2. Anyone with the least bit of sense who happens to read your website, will know that you can't compare the state that GW1 is now in (dead) to the state that GW2 is going to be in after release. If you want the support of a good server, you pay the bill for it.

You can try and be as anarcho-punk as you want by bashing them with a website, with your 'dirty corporate greed' and all, but the truth is they don't owe you anything. We didn't get hosed. We enjoyed 5 years of wonderful gameplay and now it's almost at its end. Get over it.

Also, who do you think you are to give Anet an ultimatum? The fact that you're speaking in terms of 'we' and 'organization' is ridiculous. No-one will ever take you seriously on this.

My advice to you: go get a job.

I get an average of 15k ping on the "new" american servers (ip starting with 64), disconnects and blabla the whole package. No change for ping on euro servers (still get 300-400ms on 206).
It seems that most ppl aren't affected as the have the same latency as the old 216 servers (I'm guessing it depends on where you are), but it does change things for the ones that are. The previously posted screen with like 3-4 ppl disconnected from each team in the jade isle match illustrates it.
And yeah they only just performed the server change so it might settle down. But if it doesn't, you're probably better off finding something else to play instead of going on an e-crusade against Anet.

Also I am getting pings from 34ms to 91ms since the change and I used to get 150ms to 250ms so it's improved.

OP is just a chicken little sky is falling sort probably is using a dialup connection. lmao

I get higher pings, more lag, and plenty of rubberbanding, all of which have been largely negligible prior to yesterday. I have also been booted out of a quest that was near completed after45 minutes of work.

I am not QQing, as I actually expected these issues, but all you people claiming we are making these issues up need to STFU!

East coast here and have only had one bit where I lagged yesterday. So far no dc's. Other people in the guild have had some dc problems though.

I wanted to make a thread about it, but I decided to wake out the full 24H.

However, the fact that some people can play, means the servers are in place. Some people DC'ing randomly (look at PvP) matches means that whoever provides their connection is doing a terrible job.

Portuguese people in particular seem to have alot of problems (Like I predicted), aswell as other southern European countries.

But as I said, I haven't logged on today, and I don't know if it's still going on, but I definatly hope this isn't the final state of the servers. PvP will be next to unplayable with ~20% have a large chance of DC'ing every match. Obviously, I know they'll fix it, but then the question comes to mind: Was it worth changing servers in the first place. (Money saved > Money fix cost?)

We are currently monitoring the situation following the database move and we're hearing some people reporting connection problems. If you are having problems connecting to the game or being disconnected while playing, please file a ticket to Support with details of your IP address and a screenshot of the problem.

Um guys, we are talking about a major server change in 24 hours time. Did anyone lose their stuff? Any titles missing? For the sake of sanity please have a legit complaint before posting. If the servers are screwed for a week you still got you're moneys worth. Don't believe me? I dare you crybabys to actually look at your check your time logged in the account and divide the price you paid for any anet products and post it here. Most of you will be pennies an hour. Frikkin GW junkies in withdrawal.

Northeast Coast of US and everything is normal for me. Oops, spoke too soon. Some very intermittent episodes of lag and rubberbanding.

And counting everything I ever spent on this game (including storage, slots, & CE upgrades) and the 8,420 hours I've played, my cost is at $.036/hour.

In AB last night, when the map switched from Ancestral to Grenz, we entered a couple of matches facing no opposition at all. 12 vs 0. Our Luxon friends were revealed to be locked in at the Ancestral outpost, getting code 15'd for their trouble.

Massive lulz! GG ANET!

East Coast US and have had no problems. Played JQ all night and didn't experience any lag or disconnects. Ping was right where it's always been.

I've been experiencing more lag, but it's too premature to blame that on the new server already. Give it some time.

Okay whoa.

My post wasn't intended to cause an uprising OP. It was just a response to everyone else that was having high pings and I could sympathize with them.

It seems certain players are having the issue, and myself and the people I play with just so happen to be in that group. Other players are doing just fine from what I am hearing, so it is either our location or something else related to how we all connect.

Plus the servers just came back online yesterday so they are being instantly flooded with people connecting, and with most of the European servers down at the time, American servers were being packed with all the players.

It might of been just a bad day yesterday, and of course it is myself speaking out of frustration, but hopefully all the issues are now sorted out and everything is working how it was before.

Okay, i played as soon as the servers went back live yesterday. I played on and off for about 6 hours no problems what so ever.

then Last night in JQ all of a sudden everyone starting bitching about lag, then the next match i got in a D/C out, but after looking at myself running around the map for 4 minutes not being able to do anything. Then you get dishonorable, because naturally I wanted to D/C. This happened for 4 matches in a row for me over a span of 1 hour. Here is a screenie.

What seems odd here.

Oh and the funny things is , I started lagging 1 min into match.
